The past few months have been hard and dispiriting. But watching the heightened activism of young people makes me hopeful. And if we can keep channeling our justifiable anger into peaceful, sustained, and effective action, this can be the moment when real change starts.
The launchof our Frontend Love Online Conferences was delayed by a few weeks due to the event that took place on 25th May 2020.
Our plan for the conferences during this summer was to make charitable donations towards the work being done to find a cure for Covid-19. Instead, we now chose to donate whatever we can towards two great and relevant causes.
A fund to Accelerate research and development of a vaccine and treatments, to track and understand the spread of the virus; to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers get essential supplies and information.

#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.

On June 1st we decided to postpone our official release and switch our donation campaign towards the Black Lives Matter movement. We will donate as much as we can from Ticket Sales towards the Black Lives Matter movement and also COVID-19 Soliodarity Response Fund for WHO.
Diversity is ingrained in our community values, we are extremely privileged to be in a position where we can reach thousands of developers around the world with a message of action and support.
At Frontend Love, we stand with the Black Lives Matter movement in speaking up and holding ourselves accountable to ensure that no person is ever treated differently and with mutual respect for equality regardless race, physical appearance, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, body size, or technology choices.
